Burma Cyclone an Urgent Appeal

Press Release - Thursday 15 May

WorldWaterWorks.org, a local water survival box charity run by members of the Rotary Club of Chelwood Bridge, is responding to the Burma cyclone disaster and urgently needs to raise at least £50,000.

The need for purified drinking water is immediate and will be ongoing for several months.

A ‘Water Survival Box’ provides purified water for a family of four for four months as well other essential drinking and cooking items.

The supply challenge is enormous. WorldWaterWorks plan in advance of future disasters so that they are in a position to quickly respond. Previous fund raising initiatives mean that 300 boxes are available to immediately respond to this disaster.

WorldWaterWorks are partnering with other charities to get the boxes out to Burma as quickly as possible.

If you are considering donating/raising money for the Burma cyclone disaster then please consider supporting this local charity.

You can donate (and gift aid your donation) via the website (donate now) or send cheques (made payable to ‘WorldWaterWorks’) to:
