Report on the delivery and distribution of
survival boxes provided by Rotary Club of Chelwood Bridge, UK,
following extensice flooding in Chad, West Africa.
|
Extensive flooding occurred in much of Chad, West Africa,
towards the end of August – contact was established with the
Secretary General of the Chad Red Cross who confirmed the need
for water purification in the areas worst affected. He also
readily accepted the offer of 400 Water-Survival Boxes and
agreed that the National Red Cross in Chad, as the aid agency
approved by the Chadian Government, would take responsibility
for receipt, swift transit through customs and distribution to
those families most in need.
